Through the success of the family justice centers in Brooklyn, Queens and the Bronx, and the partnerships the Office of the Mayor has built to prevent the horrific cycles of labor and sexual trafficking, New York City has been looked to as a model program by other cities such as Seattle. 

Deputy Counsel Norma Abbene, Office of the Mayor, underlines that strengthening partnerships and methods of prevention and protection is a better solution to ultimately "prevent victims from becoming victims."
