Organic can be found everywhere – in food, cleaning supplies, and clothing. And there’s no reason why clothes cannot only be fashionable but also eco-friendly. Jonäno has achieved just that. Based out of Pittsburgh, PA, this company uses organic materials to create a line of women’s clothing that combines eco-fabrics with fair trade practices. Jonäno is inspired by Scandinavian styling, which is unique yet timeless. Their clothing line consists of everything from dresses to sweaters to sleepwear. With in-store lines in California and Arizona, the company founded only in 2005, has beat the economic downturn and is growing. Designer Bonnie Siefers has proven that it is possible to create a line of clothes, from beginning to end, that is eco-chic.
