Nomi Network: Fashion Corner Spring and Summer 2012 Trend Report

Spring runways were filled with vibrant colors and fresh, fun looks to prepare us for the warm weather. Spring and summer are ideal seasons for exploring chic new trends after storing away your winter coats and sweaters.

Several trends marked the Spring/Summer 2012 runways. From cool color-blocking to bold prints, this season is all about making a statement. One of the most notable trends is the new twist on color-blocking seen on the runways of Marc Jacobs and Tommy Hilfiger. Staple pieces, like a cardigan or wrap-dress, are transformed as designers crafted them in color-block combinations of unexpected colors. Bold prints also ruled the fashion week runways. From Proenza Schouler’s tropical, vivid florals to Derek Lam’s mirror-like geometric patterns, one will be sure to stand out in any of this Spring’s statement-making prints. For those seeking an elegant, understated look, the runways were also ripe with sorbet separates in simple silhouettes. Ralph Lauren used sorbet hues to create feminine pieces while Calvin Klein’s signature minimalism softened with pastel shades.

Spring and summer 2012 runways offered a variety of new, must-try trends that are surprisingly wearable and effortlessly chic. We can’t wait to see how people integrate these trends into their own style!

Nomi Network is always excited about the latest styles, both on and off the runway. We love hearing from our customers and supporters about the fashion pieces and trends that they adore.
